Freshmen Assemble: What I'm Studying

(If you want to know what this is all about, click HERE)

What am I studying?

Short Answer: Chem major, pre-Med, with an English minor.

Long Answer:
I adore English, Literature, Creative Writing, etc. But of course you know that.
There's another side of me that equally adores Science, Math, and Medicine.
(If you're wondering what's left, it's History. That one sort of fell to the wayside.)

And I have two equally strong career goals: Pediatrician and Author.
Since you need a lot of school to become a pediatrician, and practically none to become an author, my focus in college is on the medical side. But just to make sure that I don't lose track of that literary side of me, I added in that English minor.

Where does blogging come in to all of this? I've had to ponder how I'm going to make time for it in my busy schedule. I sort of talked about this yesterday.
Certain things will have to give: I won't post nearly as much. I probably won't post about every single book I read. And even though I may disappear for a week or so during midterms or finals, I don't think I'll ever be gone for good. I love my little corner of the internet too much! :-)

Are you juggling school and blogging? Tell me your secrets!

  1. Currently entering my final year of undergrad study and only started my blog this summer.... So I don't have any tips really. I guess being organised always helps, and making sure you allot specific time for blogging rather than just hoping you'll fit it in sometime. I'm sure you're more organised than I am so that hopefully won't be a problem! :P

Am I right in thinking you're just starting your studies this year? If so, welcome to university life, and make sure you enjoy yourself too!

Looking forward to how you manage to find a balance (I might be looking for some tips there too.. :P )

    1. Yep, it's my first year. *squeals with nervousness and excitement*
I am definitely enjoying myself. The crazyness of the first month has settled down and I've found at least an extra hour per week to do some blogging. I'm generally sliding it in during lunch or on those days when I have less than an hour between classes.

Good luck to you as well - I hope your blog prospers long! :-)

  2. I REALLY HOPE YOU DON'T STOP BLOGGING. I love your blog. Just sayin'.
Ohhhh, but you are super smart to be studying medicine. *bows* I can barely remember the name of my elbow, so pfft, I would be seriously fun in that career.

    1. Awww that's so sweet of you! Blogging makes me too happy to quit anytime soon. :-) (And I love your blog too. Just sayin'.)

Why thank you. *bows back* So if I remember rightly from my Anatomy class a few years ago, the elbow is the Cubital Region, so now you can go impress people.
